Welcome to Dr Laura Kambuts Medical Practice.

I'm Doctor Laura - I work across most areas of General Practice as well as in Emergency Medicine.

My areas of interest include Paediatrics, Women's Health and LGBTQIA+ Health. I also enjoy performing simple surgical procedures such as nail wedge resections and skin lesion removal.

I was born and raised in Adelaide and completed my undergraduate degree in Podiatry at the University of South Australia. I moved to Geelong to study my Bachelor of Medicine and Surgery at Deakin University.

In 2016 I completed my internship at Flinders Medical Centre and then moved to Melbourne to start training as a Paediatrician at the Royal Children's Hospital.

After completing my first resident year I decided instead to train as a General Practitioner given it provided a more flexible lifestyle than hospital work.

I have also completed a Diploma of Obstetrics and Gynaecology at the Mercy Hospital for Women in Melbourne in 2018.

Consequently, I am qualified to deliver GP Shared Maternity Care and insert intrauterine devices (Mirena/Kyleena/Copper) and Implanons. I spend my down time with my two young children and my labradoodle.
